She has released all of her albums on her own label, Ri Right Babe, which gives her considerable creative freedom. DiFranco supports many social and political movements by giving concerts of interest, appearing on albums of interest and speaking at rallies. Through the Righteous Baby Foundation, DiFranco has supported grassroots cultural and political organizations supporting causes such as the right to abortion and the LGBT vision. One of her mentors is American folk singer and songwriter Pete Seeger. DiFranco published his memoir, No Walls and the Recurring Dream, on May 7, 2019, via Viking Books.
